Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune has released the official notification for National Talent Search Examination 2019 (Stage-1)
Exam Date : This year
Stage-1 exam will be held on
17th November 2019 (Sunday). Students who qualify the NTSE Stage-I Exam will be eligible for the
NTSE Stage-2 exam, will be held on
10th May 2020.
The National Talent Search Examination was established with a motive of classifying applicants talent in different fields. The exam is conducted by NCERT every year for the students studying in Class X. NTSE is a national level exam is conducted in two stages, Stage 1 and Stage 2.
Scholarships:- About two thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as follows:
(a) Scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month for Class-XI to XII.
(b) Scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month for UG and Post-graduates.
(c) Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.
Selection
: Stage-l, selection will be done by States/UTs. And those who are selected from
Stage-1 exam, will be eligible to appear for
Stage-2 exam.
Qualifying Marks: Qualifying marks for candidates from SC/ST/PH category is 32% in each paper. And for others (General/OBC & EWS) categories it is 40% in each paper.

Eligibility: - All the students studying in Class 10 in any recognized school, including students under Open & Distance Learning, are eligible to appear in Stage 1 of NTSE exam.
Application Form: Student may contact the State/UT Liaison officer for procuring application form.

Reservation: NTSE 2019 has added an extra reservation of 10% EWS apart from 27% for OBC, 15%, 7.5% and 4% for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped category.
