Vaibhav Khater won a Silver Medal in the activity for International Field Team Investigation.
He was a part of team India, which participated in the 12th IESO (International Earth Science Olympiad) 2018
organized at Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus, Thailand held during 8th -
17th August 2018.
In recognition of this achievement, Vaibhav was invited to receive a memento on
the occasion of the Foundation Day of the Ministry of Earth Sciences on the 27th
July 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Here is the video of the same:
In the 12th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), extraordinary
accomplishments were achieved by students of Resonance. Vaibhav Khater from Udaipur study centre and Abhinav Srinivas
from Raipur
Study Centre performed majestically and grappled 1 Silver and 2
Bronze medals respectively for the country. The Final Stage Result of IESO was declared
on 16th August 2018, where the diligent efforts of students & the faculty members
of Resonance
PCCP have resulted in these 2 selections all over India.
Vaibhav Khater is a regular student of Resonance Udaipur Study Centre since class 9th. Resonance Udaipur
gave his academic brilliance a right path. In class 9th, he cleared the written
test of IESO. This where his journey for the IESO began. And today, he has been
felicitated by The Ministry of Earth Sciences for achieving a Silver in IESO. Vaibhav
has cleared NTSE Stage-1
and he is waiting for the Stage-2 Result. He has even cleared PRMO and secured 96.6%
in his 10th Board Examination. Presently, he is focused on his preparations for
JEE.
He said, "Resonance has been shaping me to achieve success since the beginning.
My teachers at Resonance have been my constant support and my mentor in every competition."

Resonance Students has been performing marvellously every year in the prestigious
IESO Exam since 2011. IESO
is conducted by the Geological Society of India for the students of class 9th to
11th to encourage students’ interest and public awareness of Earth science and to
enhance the teaching/learning of Earth Science in Science at the school level.
2 RESONites will represent INDIA at the
13th International Earth Science Olympiad at Daegu, Republic of Korea from August
26 to September 3, 2019.

- 14th IESO, 2020 will be held at Russia.
- 15th IESO, 2021 will be held at P. R. China.
